Important reminders about the data:
If it is your first time visiting the site, be sure to read Working with the Data.
The numbers reported in this research represent the lower bound metrics of tenants displaced by the eviction process or evicted in Oregon.
It does not capture ‘Notices of Termination’ served to tenants that don't result in a court case.
Of the eviction cases that get filed at a court in Oregon, this data only includes data on eviction cases filed at a circuit court. 90% of all eviction cases were filed in a circuit court. The remaining 10% of cases were filed in a justice court. Even though we know that circuit court data alone do not provide a full picture of evictions in Oregon, they do represent the vast majority of cases filed. Therefore, we use the circuit court data to present a picture of what is happening in eviction cases statewide. Learn more on the Data Availability.
